Hey Trey, Heard you this weekend at Dumplin Valley for the first time, bought your CD and have worn out the Backin To Birmingham song.My late father-in-law was a trucker and he would have loved it.Can't wait to hear you in person again and get another hug. You have lots of talent and I can always brag that I hugged you before you went to the top and become an old Trubedor.
Keep it up and thank you for true BG music.

Hey Trey, What a great performance with Greenbriar at Dumplin Valley. Jimbo and his band are my favorites among bluegrass bands and you just added to their great show. Please come by and see us when you have time. I'm playing the CD I got at D.V. as we speak. It's really great. God gave you the unique combination of talents you have and your hard work is developing them to thier fullest. We wish you only the best as you inevitably climb the ladder in the music business. May God continue to bless you.

I just saw on youtube the new video from your show in Louisville and I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoy your music. Your voice is so easy and perfect, and natural sounding. I rode horses yesterday, and was in the middle of nowhere in the woods – even got to see three bear cubs. The smell was just so crisp and fresh. I love the smell of the woods. That’s what your voice is like. And you seem so comfortable and relaxed on stage too. I look forward to much more music from you.

The Original Guitar Man
By now, y'all have probably heard that the great Jerry Reed died this week after a long battle with emphysema. A lot of folks came to know Jerry from the movies (like Smokey and the Bandit and others) but to just about every guitar player, Jerry was an icon. He has been one of the biggest influences on my playing and even though I never got to meet him, I feel like I lost a friend. I'm so proud that, on my first country CD, I was able to record his song, "Guitar Man." I sent a copy of my version to him and I'd like to think that he heard it and maybe he even liked it. I did it to honor him. I've opened every one of my country shows with it and I will continue to do so. Jerry was a legend in his time and a great humanitarian who loved the Lord and loved this country. I know he's up there thumb-pickin' like crazy. God bless you, Jerry. You were the greatest.

Trey's manager came across a blog on the internet with a nice mention of Trey's appearance at The President's Dinner in Washington DC. The blogger, Annette, says this about Trey...
"Before dinner started, we were entertained by an up-and-coming young country singer named Trey Hensley. He was one of those singers that just gives a person goosebumps when he sings!"
